The primary goal of this educational series is to inform key providers in the community (primary care doctors, internists, nurse practitioners, etc..) about key retinal diseases. The course will cover the role of the retina specialist and the diagnosis and management of retinal diseases. This will include: 1) How these entities are evaluated and diagnosed in our clinic, 2) management options, 3) and the role of the referring provider in referring at risk patients to the retina specialist. The course will improve patient care coordination between providers and aide in earlier referral and diagnosis of patients with sight-threatening conditions.



Objectives
After participating in this educational activity, you should be able to:

  1. Understand the role of the retina specialist
  2. Know when to refer to a retina specialist
  3. Understand which patients might be at risk for retinal disease
