AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ (2.00 hours), Non-Physician Attendance (2.00 hours)


The goal of the INSPIRE Study: Shared Decision-making Training live stream and video recording is to introduce clinicians to new and/or changing clinical practice standards as well as new understandings of disease processes and mechanisms of clinical interventions from clinical and basic science research.

We will incorporate The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) SHARE Approach to Shared Decision making into this CME training for prescribing opioids for chronic pain patients.

Objectives
After participating in this CME activity, clinician participants should be able to:

  1. Compare and contrast concepts of shared decision making
  2. List AHRQ’s SDM tools and utilize in clinical practice
  3. Incorporate CDC’s guidelines for opioid management into clinical practice
