This conference will review data on the most complex pediatric genetic cases at MCJCHV and will be reviewed by cardiology, CT surgery, Genetics, ethics, critical care providers, ENT, Pulmonology, General Surgery, anesthesia, and palliative care teams. The content will focus on establishing a standardized approach in the management of children with genetic diagnoses without clear standards of practice. Plan for comparing/contrasting any relevant diagnostic data.


Objectives
After participating in this educational activity, you should be able to:

  1. Understand clinical management of patients with complex genetic diagnoses.
  2. Interpret clinical data and utilize interpretation in medical decision making.
  3. Discuss medical and surgical options for patients with complex genetic diagnoses including weighing risks and benefits of each.
  4. Create a more standardized approach to assessing potential medical interventions for fetuses and infants with Trisomy 18 & 13.
