Objectives
After participating in this educational activity, learners should be able to:

  1. Critically evaluate current operating room anesthesiology practices particularly with regard to poor or unexpected outcomes.
  2. Determine in group discussion if currently accepted outcome occurred with anesthesiology practice guidelines being followed or was there a deviation in accepted practice warranted by the situation.
  3. Review and discuss the current literature concerning the case topic with followup discussion.
