The Multidisciplinary Critical Care Fellows Conference is offered every Thursday from 12:00 to 1:00 pm in 9T3 Critical Care Tower at VUMC. Presentations by Vanderbilt faculty focus the latest research and discussion of challenging cases. The conference is a weekly educational conference designed to provide continuing education in topics relevant to the surgical critical care provider. The primary audience are the anesthesia and surgical critical care fellows, as well as all supporting faculty in the Departments of Anesthesia and Surgery. Speakers are local experts at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Topics range from ICU management strategies and medical billing, to advanced clinical matters (e.g. total extracorporeal membrane oxygenation [ECMO], advanced ventilator strategies, renal replacement therapy, etc.). These lectures run 1 hour in length, and typically review the relevant and emerging literature on the subject..
