Objectives
After participating in this educational activity, you should be able to:

  1. Describe and discuss the management of advanced liver disease, including multidisciplinary management of patients with alcohol associated liver disease and the role of palliative care in patients with end-stage liver disease.
  2. Describe and discuss evaluation and management of pancreatic insufficiency, malnutrition, and supplemental enteral feeding.
  3. Describe and discuss updates in the management of complex polyps, surveillance of Barrett’s esophagus, and management of refractory variceal bleeding.
  4. Recognize best practices for the management of anorectal disorders and the role of pelvic floor physical therapy.
  5. Describe and discuss updates in the management of inflammatory bowel disease, particularly acute severe ulcerative colitis and the role for surgical intervention.
  6. Understand the evaluation of metabolic dysfunction associated steatotic liver disease, updates in medical management, and the role of surgical intervention for obesity.
