Rheumatology Grand Rounds is offered every Thursday from 11:30 to 12:30 pm in Rabin Conference Room in Medical Research Building IV, room 7455. Format rotates between presentations by visiting speakers and Vanderbilt faculty on cutting edge science and discussion of challenging cases. The purpose of this weekly conference is to understand the underlying causes of these disorders to support the long-term goal of improving diagnosis and treatment. After participating in Rheumatology Grand Rounds, participants should be able to describe and discuss pathophysiology, diagnosis, and management of the rheumatologic diseases listed in the core curriculum, describe and discuss differential diagnoses for rheumatologic symptoms and signs, and critically analyze the rheumatologic literature.


Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  1. describe and discuss pathophysiology, diagnosis, and management of the rheumatologic diseases listed in the core curriculum
  2. describe and discuss differential diagnoses for rheumatologic symptoms and signs
  3. critically analyze the rheumatologic literature
