The Cardiovascular Medicine Echocardiography Conference is offered every Thursday from 12:00 to 1:00 pm Medical Center East, Conference Room 5053. Format rotates between presentations by visiting speakers and Vanderbilt faculty on cutting edge science and discussion of challenging cases. Our goal is to assist our target audience in enhancing their skills to the best practice level in identifying indications for an Echo study and the technical aspects of Echo study performance diagnostic interpretation and patient management. Specific areas to be addressed in this conference include the optimal use of echocardiography in the diagnosis and management of valvular heart disease, congestive heart failure and adult congenital heart disease. After participating in this CME activity, participants should be able to identify indications for an Echo study, improve diagnostic interpretation of Echo studies, and use Echo tools more effectively in patient management


Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  1. Identify indications for an Echo study
  2. Improve diagnostic interpretation of Echo studies
  3. Use Echo tools more effectively in patient managemen
