Educational module in connection with the Safe to Sleep TIPQC Project providing training for conducting a quality improvement project designed for high reliability in improvements where the default action of care givers and patients obtains the desired result.


Objectives
After participating in this CME activity, participants should be able to:

  1. Describe and discuss collaborative learning and strategies as the best current practice for learning and improving patient care and health outcome.
  2. Describe and discuss the quality improvement process used in Ohio’s safe sleep project.
  3. Describe and discuss model for quality improvement.
  4. Describe and discuss PDSA (Plan Do Study Act) Cycle for quality improvement.
  5. Describe and discuss how failure benefits quality improvement projects.
  6. Describe and discuss high reliability organizations and the three levels of reliability science and how to apply those to safe sleep QI projects
