TIPQC's Annual Meeting, scheduled from March 2 through March 4, 2021,and delivered virtually at will provide learning opportunities covering best practices in evaluating, diagnosing, and/or managing patients with a variety of disorders. Lectures/presentations, panels, skill-based training, simulations, and small group discussions and case based discussions designed to provide training on the national and Tennessee state of maternal and child health, national COVID Data and current best practices, Tennessee COVID Moms Study, health equity, care for caretakers, mom and patient family perspectives, infant topics (safe sleep, new AAP NAS Guidelines, potentially better practices for opioid exposed newborns), maternal topics (postpartum mood disorders, hemorrhage, post birth warning signs, SBIRT: Screening, Brief Intervention, Referral to Treatment, potentially better practices for pregnant women with opioid use disorders, Hepatitis C Screening), and Severe Maternal Hypertension. Objectives
After participating in this CME activity, participants should be able to describe and discuss:

  1. Implications for practice of the current state of maternal and infant health nationally and in Tennessee.
  2. Current COVID-19 recommendations for pregnant women, infants, and new mothers.
  3. AAP NAS Guidelines and best practices for opioid exposed newborns.
  4. Safe sleep practices for infants.
  5. Pregnant women and new mothers with opioid use disorder
  6. Approaches to managing severe maternal hypertension
  7. Screening for Hepatitis C
  8. Strategies to identify post-birth warning signs
  9. Approaches to managing postpartum mood disorders.
  10. Approaches to managing hemorrhage.
  11. Strategies to ensure that health care services for pregnant women, infants, and new mothers follow principles of health care equity
  12. Support for care-givers.
  13. Perspectives of mothers and the family.
