Educational module in which a three subject matter experts discuss the current state of opioid exposed newborns in Tennessee and its cost and the best practices for for perinatal, inpatient, and discharge care of OEN and their mothers.


Objectives
At the conclusion of this educational activity, participants should be able to:

  1. Describe and discuss the background and incidence of Neonatal Opioid Withdrawal Syndrome (NOWS), including Tennessee specific data.
  2. Describe and discuss the best practices for prenatal, inpatient, and discharge care.
  3. Describe and discuss potential long term impact for these infants and families.
