Anesthesiology Grand Rounds is offered weekly. Participants will engage in education on current issues about recent research and evidence related to perioperative or pain medicine and management and discuss implications for clinical practice and the impact on patient outcome. A variety of topics from researchers in several disciplines from across the VU and VUMC institutions will be covered.


Objectives
After participation in this educational activity, you should be able to describe and discuss:

  1. Current national guidelines and benchmarks
  2. The most recent research evidence related to perioperative or pain medicine
  3. Implementation of strategies for improving perioperative and pain management patient care
  4. Understanding of existing knowledge gaps and future directions for ongoing research
