Neurosurgery Grand Rounds is offered every Wednesday from 6:30 to 8:00 am in Light Hall Room 512 Format rotates between presentations by visiting speakers and Vanderbilt faculty on cutting edge science and discussion of challenging cases. The goals of Neurosurgery Grand Rounds are to identify current thought regarding treatment requiring neurological surgery and optimal treatment methods, review the outcomes associated with these treatment methods and examine how to apply them to our patient populations, and determine how one evaluates the impact of treatment decisions on patients and outcomes, and then how to use this information to revise our treatment methods. After participating in this Neurosurgical Grand Rounds, participants should be able to describe and discuss recent advances in managing patients with disorders that require neurosurgical intervention, surgical management and care of patients with neurosurgical needs, including but not limited to diagnosis and treatment, and key components of effective surgical decision-making
