Objectives
After participating in this educational activity:

  1. Clinician and research participants will hear presentations or mini-presentations as well as examples (case presentations) about evidence-based approaches to practice and research that are new, changing, and/or continue to be best practice.
  2. Clinician and research participants will engage in case discussions, observe demonstrations of skills or procedures, and/or practice skills or procedures in which these evidence-based approaches are used to evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients in settings that resemble authentic practice circumstances or plan or revise safe and effective research projects. In some cases, there will be suggestions about using what is already known in different and innovative ways.
  3. Clinician and research participants will receive expert feedback and coaching from knowledgeable colleagues during this CME activity while discussing cases, observing the use of these evidence-based approaches and/or practicing using these evidence-based approaches to evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients or plan or revise safe and effective research projects..
