Objectives

After participating in this CME activity, participants should be able to:

 

  1. Describe and discuss strategies for managing critically ill patients following current clinical practice guidelines, finding from recent research, and consensus local best practice
  2. Describe and discuss how information from scientific sources, use of clinical skills, and from experience with similar patients was combined to develop a diagnosis for a critically ill patient
  3. Describe and discuss approaches to evaluating patients in the CCU following current clinical pratice guidelines, findings from recent research, and consensus local best practice
