Objectives
After participating in this educational activity, you should be able to:

  1. Improve mortality rates, complications, delays in discharge, and over all hospital length of stay.
  2. Understand the ongoing care and plans for all current patients admitted to the burn service.
  3. Keep the team up to date on current management of patients – wound care, surgical vs medical management, discharge plan.
  4. Educate the multidisciplinary team on new protocols and products that are being implemented and used in the Burn Unit.
  5. Give all members an opportunity to express any input or concerns regarding course of care for each patient.
