Clinical Advanced Heart Failure Cardiac Meeting is offered weekly. Participants will engage in education on Managing heart transplant patients with advanced immunotherapy and anti-rejection medication and improving patient outcomes. A variety of topics from researchers in several disciplines from across the VU and VUMC institutions will be covered.

Participants will engage in education on current issues on heart failure patients and discuss implications for clinical practice and the impact on patient outcome. A variety of topics from researchers in several disciplines from across the VU and VUMC institutions will be covered.

Monthly presentation and discussion of new or changing topics involving lung transplant and pulmonary hypertension. These discussions will be related to case-based patient care and discuss impact on future recommendations for care.

Allergic Disease Conference is offered weekly. Participants will engage in education on current issues on evaluation and management of allergic and immunologic diseases and discuss implications for clinical practice and the impact on patient outcome. A variety of topics from researchers in several disciplines from across the VU and VUMC institutions will be covered.

The meeting is designed to present challenging cases with review and discussion of relevant published studies. Particularly relevant journal articles will be reviewed in detail to help trainees develop strategies to evaluate published studies. Strategies to implement relevant findings from research studies into practice will be discussed.

Participants will engage in education on current issues about molecular biology and emerging therapies in managing patients diagnosed with amyloidosis and discuss implications for clinical practice and the impact on patient outcome. A variety of topics from researchers in several disciplines from across the VU and VUMC institutions will be covered.

Faculty, fellow and resident speakers discussing mechanisms of disease and updates to the practice of pathology in a seminar format. We also invite guest speakers who are experts in their respective fields. A wide variety of topics are covered from the history of forensic autopsies to emergencies in dermatopathology.
