The Breast Tumor Board is offered virtually every Wednesday from 5:00 to 6:00 pm. Each session provides opportunities for faculty, fellows, residents , as well as students, nurses and other clinical staff to examine recent cases and discuss application of new knowledge and/or discuss opportunities for improvement. After participating in this CME activity, participants should be able to describe and discuss AJCC staging criteria for breast carcinoma, gain expertise in application and interpretation of new imaging modalities for breast carcinoma, identify common pathologic variants of breast carcinoma, gain experience in multi-modality treatment for breast carcinoma, describe and discuss evidence-based breast cancer literature, and devise the best treatment plan for each patient presented.



Objectives
After participating in this educational activity, you should be able to describe and discuss:

  1. Application and interpretation of new imaging modalities for breast carcinoma
  2. Common pathologic variants of breast carcinoma
  3. Multi-modality treatment for breast carcinoma
  4. Best treatment plan for each patient presented


Vanderbilt University Medical Center is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Vanderbilt University Medical Center designates this live activity for a maximum 1.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 1.00 Medical Knowledge (Part II) MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.

Successful completion of this CME activity enables the learner to earn credit toward the CME requirement of the American Board of Surgery’s Continuous Certification program. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit learner completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABS credit.

PLEASE NOTE: To receive CME, MOC II, or Continuous Certification credit for this activity, the evaluation component must be completed. To receive MOC II or Continuous Certification credit, the evaluation must be completed no later than November 30th. Evaluations completed after this date will award CME credit only. Evaluations can be found in your CloudCME portal under the Evaluation & Certificates tab.

PLEASE NOTE: This regularly scheduled series does not award MOC II or Continuous Certification credit for the month of December. MOC II and Continuous Certification credit can only be reported within the same year the credit was earned.
