As part of our ACS verification, we must produce and distribute an internal education program newsletter at least quarterly to all those physicians and NP/PAs that care for our trauma population.  This newsletter is based on the principles of practice-based learning and the Trauma PIPS program.  In order to prove compliance with this requirement, we ask that all those that receive the newsletter either complete this CME activity and receive credit or open the documents via secure file transfer.

Objectives

After participating in this CME activity, participants should be able to describe and discuss application of:

    1. current practice guidelines and treatment for care of the pediatric trauma patient
    2. recent research related to trauma treatment
    3. results of local performance improvement projects

Vanderbilt University Medical Center is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Vanderbilt University Medical Center designates this live activity for a maximum 1.50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
