Overview

This series is intended to help healthcare providers manage patients who require blood transfusion according to current evidence-based clinical practice guidelines, recent research findings, and local consensus best practice.

Objectives

After participating in this CME activity, participants should be able to describe and discuss:
  1. indications for blood transfusion
  2. routine and non-routine pre- and post-transfusion lab work
  3. signs and symptoms of adverse reaction to transfusion
