Educational module providing training for the care of mothers with risk of postpartum depression or other anxiety or mood disorders and mothers with Opioid Use Disorders in the 4th Trimester.


Objectives
After participating in this CME activity, participants should be able to:

  1. Describe and discuss how to identify postpartum mood disorders and their risk factors.
  2. Describe and discuss how to emphasize importance of early diagnosis and treatment of postpartum mood disorders.
  3. Describe and discuss how to explore treatment options for postpartum mood disorders.
  4. Describe and discuss how to introduce the concept of the 4th trimester and the paradigm shift for postpartum care.
  5. Describe and discuss how to identify factors that can make the 4th trimester challenging for women with OUD.
  6. Describe and discuss how to illuminate relapse prevention strategies during the 4th trimester.
