AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ (1.00 hours), Non-Physician Attendance (1.00 hours)


Each module involves a child with behavioral health or substance abuse concerns and each case has a corresponding screening tool for participants to review. The participants work through the screening tool to become familiar with the tool and calculate a score. Online Learning Modules: 1- Introduction to Behavioral Health in Pediatrics 2- Post Partum Depression 2.1- Social Emotional Guidance for birth to five 3- Disruptive Behavior - case based learning 3.1-Disruptive Behavior - Guidance for primary care 4- Inattention - case based learning 4.1- Inattention and Impulsivity - Guidance for primary care 5- Anxiety - case based learning 5.1- Anxiety - Guidance for Primary Care 6- Depression 6.1- Depression - Guidance for Primary Care 7- Substance Use Disorder - case based learning 7.1- Substance Use Disorder - Guidance for primary care 8- Coding and Workflow


Objectives
After participating in this educational activity, you should be able to:

  1. Recognize the effects of trauma on the developing child
  2. Identify children with psychological trauma and physical abuse in the primary care pediatric setting
  3. Apply principles of trauma-competent care to the primary care pediatric setting
  4. Describe a new or improved strategy that applies to content in clinical practice
  5. Demonstrate application of the content in a simulated practice environment or educational setting
