Anesthesia Critical Care Fellows Conference is offered daily. Participants will engage in education on current issues about molecular biology and emerging therapies in managing patients diagnosed with amyloidosis and discuss implications for clinical practice and the impact on patient outcome. A variety of topics from researchers in several disciplines from across the VU and VUMC institutions will be covered.


Objectives
After participating in this educational activity, you should be able to describe and discuss:

  1. Strategies for managing critically ill patients following current clinical practice guidelines, finding from recent research, and consensus local best practice
  2. How information from scientific sources, use of clinical skills, and from experience with similar patients was combined to develop a diagnosis for a critically ill patient
  3. Approaches to evaluating patients in the CCU following current clinical practice guidelines, findings from recent research, and consensus local best practice
