Amyloidosis Meeting and Tumor Board is offered bi-weekly. Participants will engage in education on current issues about molecular biology and emerging therapies in managing patients diagnosed with amyloidosis and discuss implications for clinical practice and the impact on patient outcome. A variety of topics from researchers in several disciplines from across the VU and VUMC institutions will be covered.


Objectives
After participation in this educational activity, you should be able to describe and discuss:

  1. Current clinical features, molecular biology and emerging therapies in managing patients diagnosed with amyloidosis.
  2. Recent advances in the basic sciences relevant to amyloidosis.
  3. Recent advances in laboratory evaluation that have facilitated improved management of patients' amyloidosis.
