Otolaryngology Head-Neck Surgery MMI Conference participants will engage in education to strategies to identify system issues that lead to less than optimal patient outcomes and evidence-based and improving patient outcomes. A variety of topics from researchers in several disciplines from across the VU and VUMC institutions will be covered.


Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, you should be able to describe and discuss:

  1. Strategies to identify system issues that lead to less than optimal patient outcomes
  2. Results of studies, such as root cause analyses, to identify the source of system issues
  3. Interventions to address system issues
  4. Implications for their practices and the practice changes that might be indicated
  5. Impact on patient outcomes
