This training consists of a two day in person session at the Osher Center for Integrative Medicine at Vanderbilt and six two-hour Zoom sessions.


Objectives
At the conclusion of this educational activity, participants will be able to:

  1. Describe the core features of mindfulness-based teaching and how the MBI:TAC was developed in ways which represent these
  2. Describe the development and research supporting the validation and reliability of the MBI:TAC tool.
  3. Demonstrate familiarity with the domains and key features of hte MBI:TAC.
  4. Discuss the perspective of both the whole and the elements of the mindfulness teaching process
  5. Demonstrate skills in articulating verbal feedback to trainees/supervisees in ways that are linked to the MBI:TAC domains and key features, and which offer clear pointers of teaching strengths and learning needs.
  6. List ways that the MBI:TAC has both the potential to support trainees in their development and ways feedback with the MBI:TAC might trigger unhelpful orientations and attitudes
  7. Demonstrate understanding of skillful and sensitive ways of staging the use of the tool through different phases of teacher training.
