The Vanderbilt ID Symposium is aimed at providing updated information about treating common infectious diseases in the primary care setting. The material in this program is best suited for prescribers, and will cover HIV, hepatitis C, vaccine hesitancy, latent tuberculosis, infections and immunosuppression, C. difficile, new antibiotics, and more.


Objectives
After participating in this CME activity, participants should be able to describe and discuss:

  1. Screening guidelines for HIV, hepatitis C, latent TB and other infectious diseases in the primary care setting
  2. Advances in antibiotics and the treatment of MRSA, C. difficile, and other common infectious diseases
  3. Strategies to counsel patients who are hesitant to be vaccinated
