This full-day training will cover HIV basics from epidemiology and pathogenesis to antiretroviral treatment selection and management of co-morbidities. After the training, participants will be able to setup an HIV intake process at their clinic, take a comprehensive sexual history, screen for and prescribe PrEP, and manage HIV and other comorbid conditions.


Objectives
After participating in this CME activity, participants should be able to:

  1. Outline the clinical intake process for a person newly diagnosed with HIV, including required labs
  2. Discuss strategies for taking a comprehensive sexual history and identifying potential PrEP candidates
  3. Describe how to interpret labs and select appropriate antiretroviral regimens
  4. Summarize common OIs and co-morbidities and treatment options
