The Anesthesiology MMI Conference is offered monthly on the last Friday of every month from 6:30 to 7:30 AM in Light Hall 208 and 214. Each session provides opportunities for anesthesiologists and anesthesia clinical staff to identify opportunities for improvement in recent cases. After participating in this CME activity, participants should be able to describe and discuss individual, practice, and system factors contributing to medical errors, complications, and sub-optimal outcomes; review current practice to identify opportunities for improvement based on individual, practice, and system factors; implement strategies to address opportunities for improvement aimed at reducing medical errors, complications, and sub-optimal outcomes.

This activity is eligible for Patient Safety credit. An evaluation component is required for each session. Vanderbilt University Medical Center tracks and keeps record of all learners who meet requirements to obtain Patient Safety credit. All Patient Safety credit is awarded by  American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA).
