Title: Pediatric Emergency Care In-Service - Simulations

This course will be offered several times during 2020 based on requests in the One Hundred Oaks conference room or at a local hospital. Presentations by Vanderbilt faculty focus the latest research and discussion of challenging cases of common and challenging conditions presented by children and adolescents in the emergency setting. After participating in this CME activity, clinician participants should be able to describe and discuss approaches to preparing, evaluating, and managing pediatric patients in acute, emergency and trauma settings and determining when to transfer them to higher level facility.



Objectives

After participating in this CME activity, participants should be able to describe and discuss approaches to:


  1. Preparing pediatric patients in emergency and trauma settings
  2. Evaluating pediatric patients in emergency and trauma settings
  3. Managing pediatric patients in emergency and trauma settings
  4. Determining when to transfer pediatric patients to higher level facility
