Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation MMI is offered quarterly. Participants will engage in education on potential solutions for process errors that may include medical knowledge and skills and improving patient outcomes. A variety of topics from researchers in several disciplines from across the VU and VUMC institutions will be covered.

Patient cases for the cardiac EP conference are selected from a listing of patient cases with adverse mortality or morbidity. Morbidities are reviewed; mortalities are discussed in detail. Relevant evidence is reviewed and opportunities for improvement are discussed. Changes in policy and procedure are considered and recommended.

Medicine Grand Rounds is offered weekly. Participants will engage in education on recent research describing new understandings of disease processes and mechanisms of clinical interventions and improving patient outcomes. A variety of topics from researchers in several disciplines from across the VU and VUMC institutions will be covered.

The conference will present cases seen in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab from cardiology and radiology perspectives. Evidence-based approaches to the cases will be examined and discussed.

Nephrology Kidney Pancreas Transplant Conference is offered weekly. Participants will engage in education on Evidence-based approaches for diagnosing and managing kidney transplant-related diseases and improving patient outcomes. A variety of topics from researchers in several disciplines from across the VU and VUMC institutions will be covered.

Cardiovascular Medicine Arrhythmia Clinical Conference is offered weekly. Participants will engage in education on both classic and contemporary approaches to diagnosis and management of cardiac arrhythmias and improved patient outcomes. A variety of topics from researchers in several disciplines from across the VU and VUMC institutions will be covered.

Case presentations and discussion of patients with surgical indications seen in clinic. Goal is to determine best surgical plans, review exceptional surgical results as well as complications. Complex patients, diagnostic dilemmas, and interesting or unusual diagnosis will also be presented with follow up.
