Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation MMI is offered quarterly. Participants will engage in education on potential solutions for process errors that may include medical knowledge and skills and improving patient outcomes. A variety of topics from researchers in several disciplines from across the VU and VUMC institutions will be covered.

Patient cases for the cardiac EP conference are selected from a listing of patient cases with adverse mortality or morbidity. Morbidities are reviewed; mortalities are discussed in detail. Relevant evidence is reviewed and opportunities for improvement are discussed. Changes in policy and procedure are considered and recommended.

Monthly MMI meeting that goes over recent pediatric transplant cases, with lessons learned, practice changes, and corrective action planning.

The conference will present cases seen in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab from cardiology and radiology perspectives. Evidence-based approaches to the cases will be examined and discussed.

Pre-recorded PowerPoint-based education hosted by live specialists for questions/conversation. Each session will be provided at multiple times over the course of 1-2 weeks so all providers can attend at their convenience. This is a case-based conference that has clinically-based questions during the presentation and actively solicits participation from the audience for questions, discussions, comments.

Regular conferences by experts in Hematology Oncology providing lectures on a variety of topics in oncology from basic sciences to clinical care.

Participants will engage in education to implement strategies to address opportunities for improvement aimed at reducing medical errors, complications, and sub-optimal outcomes. and improving patient outcomes. A variety of topics from researchers in several disciplines from across the VU and VUMC institutions will be covered.

Nephrology Kidney Pancreas Transplant Conference is offered weekly. Participants will engage in education on Evidence-based approaches for diagnosing and managing kidney transplant-related diseases and improving patient outcomes. A variety of topics from researchers in several disciplines from across the VU and VUMC institutions will be covered.

The GI Clinical Management Conference is offered every weekly. Conference participants will examine and discuss recent cases with the goal of improving evaluation, diagnosis, and management as well as discussing the incorporation of recent advances into practice.

Medicine Grand Rounds is offered weekly. Participants will engage in education on recent research describing new understandings of disease processes and mechanisms of clinical interventions and improving patient outcomes. A variety of topics from researchers in several disciplines from across the VU and VUMC institutions will be covered.
