This conference will review data on the most complex pediatric genetic cases at MCJCHV and will be reviewed by cardiology, CT surgery, Genetics, ethics, critical care providers, ENT, Pulmonology, General Surgery, anesthesia, and palliative care teams. The content will focus on establishing a standardized approach in the management of children with genetic diagnoses without clear standards of practice. Plan for comparing/contrasting any relevant diagnostic data.

Pre-recorded PowerPoint-based education hosted by live specialists for questions/conversation. Each session will be provided at multiple times over the course of 1-2 weeks so all providers can attend at their convenience. This is a case-based conference that has clinically-based questions during the presentation and actively solicits participation from the audience for questions, discussions, comments.

Vascular Anomalies Case Conference is offered twice monthly. Participants will engage in education on management of patients with vascular anomalies and improving patient outcomes. A variety of topics from researchers in several disciplines from across the VU and VUMC institutions will be covered.

The purpose of this case conference is to review the scientific evidence influencing recent advances in the practice of pediatric hospital medicine. This case conference may also be used as a platform to enhance professional practice through acquisition of new knowledge and tools and demonstrate the interface of medical literature and clinical judgment.
