The Multidisciplinary Perioperative MM&I Conference is offered quarterly on the 1st Friday of March, June, September, and December from 6:30am to 8:00am in Langford Auditorium at VUMC, and depending on circumstance, sometimes held virtually. The conference consists of presentations of cases in which outcomes were not expected and/or not desirable or presentations of relevant quality-related issues that impact providers in the perioperative spaces followed by discussion of strengths and weaknesse...

This conference will review data on the most complex pediatric genetic cases at MCJCHV and will be reviewed by cardiology, CT surgery, Genetics, ethics, critical care providers, ENT, Pulmonology, General Surgery, anesthesia, and palliative care teams. The content will focus on establishing a standardized approach in the management of children with genetic diagnoses without clear standards of practice. Plan for comparing/contrasting any relevant diagnostic data.

Pre-recorded PowerPoint-based education hosted by live specialists for questions/conversation. Each session will be provided at multiple times over the course of 1-2 weeks so all providers can attend at their convenience. This is a case-based conference that has clinically-based questions during the presentation and actively solicits participation from the audience for questions, discussions, comments.
