This activity is designed to encourage discussion of core and recent literature regarding gynecologic pathology and gynecologic oncology to foster the continued acquisition of medical knowledge, unify clinical practice, and advance patient care.

The Colposcopy Patient Care Conference is a weekly conference attended by members for the OBGYN and Pathology departments along with their learners. Participants will engage in education on interpretation of laboratory tests for the range of pediatric GI disorders and anatomic pathology and improving patient outcomes. A variety of topics from researchers in several disciplines from across the VU and VUMC institutions will be covered.

Hematopathology Consensus and Interesting Case Conference participants will examine and discuss recent cases with the goal of reaching consensus on diagnostic strategies and appropriate ancillary studies. Conference participants will examine and discuss recent cases. Classification of genitourinary disease is a dynamic process which is continuously being updated. The application of newer technologies applied in the diagnosis and prediction of the prognosis and behavior of certain entities such as immunohistochemistry, in situ hybridization, molecular and genetic assays will be discussed.

The faculty, residents and fellows on the breast surgical pathology service meet 2X/week at a multiheaded microscope for 1 hour per session to reach a consensus diagnosis for challenging cases and share recent cases with salient teaching points such as rare entities, borderline lesions, difficult diagnoses and nuances of reporting. Attendees can participate by zoom as well as in person. This conference is a high yield learning activity for all participants.

This will be a twice weekly virtual meeting for the adult and pediatric Bone, soft tissue and skin (BSTS) pathology services. The following types of cases will be discussed: diagnosis pending and requiring consensus input; potential disagreements; and invaluable teaching points.

Multispecialty discussion between hematopathologists, cytogeneticists and molecular scientists regarding unique cytogenetic and/or molecular findings from specimens relating to hematopathologic diseases following current clinical practice guidelines, recent research findings, and local consensus best practices, integrating clinical data, morphologic evaluation, differential diagnoses and other ancillary testing.
