Morbidity, Mortality, and Improvement conference for the Pediatric Burn patient population. Discussion will also be had regarding current patients in the hospital as well as complex patients that are being followed in the outpatient setting.

This series will be a 1-hour CME & MOC II credit activity, with learning objectives, held on the 4th Wednesday of every month from 8-9 am, featuring a Pathology case review discussion that also includes a component of morbidity and mortality review of the cases discussed.

Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology Conference is offered weekly. Participants will engage in education on strategies for managing our challenging cardiac surgery patient cases, multi-disciplinary approaches to peri-operative care and address patient care issues that overlap specialties and how these relate patient outcomes. A variety of topics from researchers in several disciplines from across the VU and VUMC institutions will be covered.

Case based discussion of system wide clinical practice opportunities involving perioperative and medical case scenarios. Cases are presented, interactive discussion with attendees on opportunities and challenges, review of key practice recommendations on case based topic presented.

Current practice is a spectrum, and these are commonly discussed as part of our conference. We examine the current care models from physicians in both university-based and private practice-based groups and how these models affect patient care and patient care results in their various institutions.

This meeting is meant to serve as an internal review committee managing safety issues in the perioperative arena.
