Vanderbilt's Stroke and Neurosciences Symposium is an annual continuing medical education event whose goal is to promote the highest levels of competence in stroke care in Middle Tennessee. The course will address current standards of care for the treatment of acute stroke and intracerebral hemorrhage and provide an update on recent clinical trial results. We will have a special series of talks dedicated to understanding the role of artificial intelligence and other technology tools in the ambulance, in the hospital and in long-term stroke recovery. As always, we will have case based learning and lots of opportunities to discuss stroke related issues with local and national experts.

ACCME Objectives
  1. Apply current stroke and ICH guidelines to clinical practice
  2. Diagnose and treat vascular complications of emerging treatments for Alzheimer's disease
  3. Understand recent clinical trial results and apply appropriate changes to clinical practice.
  4. Recognize technological developments and tools that will likely impact care in the coming years.

ANCC Learning Outcomes
  1. After participating in this event, 80% of learners who complete the evaluation will self-report an increase in knowledge related to current guidelines and literature for the treatment of stroke.
